She went to the store to pick up some balloons, her 7-year old daughter didn't want to come in, so she stayed behind in the car. When my friend came back out, a guy lectured here how it's against the law in some states to leave a child unattended and so on... They go home and 20 minutes later get a visit from the police. Luckily for her she didn't get in any trouble like the guy in the story did. Poor guy. I’m a little late to this post, but this same thing just happened to a friend of mine last weekend.

By todays standards everyone our age an older should be visiting their parents behind bars! Lead paint, asbestos exposure, spanking us, disciplining us, sending us to our room, making us go to bed hungry... holy crow - I don't think I want to be a parent this day and age!
