Yeah, I’m aware of that and totally understand it from their perspective.

I’m not really worried about a drive-by — it’s the invasive hammer wielding inspectors that make me uneasy.

My house, after all of the work we’ve had done, definitely has curb appeal, so hopefully it’s as simple as that — a quick drive and maybe a photo.

I almost wish they’d send a letter after the fact to confirm that they’ve done their inspection.

For this sort of thing, I find the “no news is goods news” very unsettling…

I just thought I would let you know it is routine for insurance carriers to do ‘drive bys’ and verify that the house is lived in and still standing. This is to protect themselves. I’m guessing with many folks feeling the financial crunch they will be doing more of these checks.
