Hi Grant! I actually think it’s going to be the other way around — the government is going to have egg on it’s face for giving money to companies that have lost their edge.

I really can’t imagine GM or Chrysler surviving long term — the writing has been on the wall for at least a decade — but I hope, as in most areas, that as one or two of them fall, the remaining company (Ford) will flourish.

I like Ford. I like the tenacity to make the tough decisions when they need to be made, rather than taking the easy money.

I suspect that down the road, GM and Chrysler may regret the governments “help”.

I applaud Alan Mulally, and still have confidence in his leadership; something I can’t say for many other large caps these days.
