Had that happen and I even had a witness who left me a nice note... but the cops wouldn't do anything since it happened in a parking lot (private property). My friend who worked for a law enforcement agency looked up the plate of the jerk that hit me and the truck hadn't been registered in years... probably a vehicle sale that never got recorded/re-licensed - jerks!
